Fitzpatrick Hotel
The historic Fitzpatrick Hotel has long stood as one of the most recognizable landmarks in downtown Washington. Built in 1898 by philanthropist Daniel M. Fitzpatrick, the grand Victorian-era hotel quickly became a centerpiece of the town, welcoming travelers arriving by rail and serving as a gathering place for the community for more than a century.
After closing its doors about a year ago for extensive renovations, the hotel has remained largely out of public view. Restoration efforts are currently underway to preserve the building’s historic charm while preparing it for a new chapter.
For the first time since the closure, visitors will have a rare opportunity to step inside and experience part of the building again. The hotel’s first floor will be open for guests to tour, offering a glimpse of the ongoing restoration and the beautiful historic details that make the Fitzpatrick so special.
